On July 10, 2019, Willy Paul took to social media to express his disappointment at being blocked by Alaine on Instagram. The gospel-turned-secular hitmaker claimed that Alaine's decision to block him might be linked to his recent collaboration with Tanzanian singer Nandy.
Willy Paul's plea was met with a response from Alaine the following day, in which she proposed another collaboration and expressed her gratitude for the musical chemistry between them.
However, Willy Paul was not entirely satisfied with Alaine's response, stating that it was not what he had hoped to hear. Despite this, he was glad to have been unblocked and expressed his gratitude to his fans for helping him deliver his message to Alaine.
