January 6, 2019, marked a day of intense criticism for President Uhuru Kenyatta, as Jubilee MP Kimani Ngunjiri went on a scathing attack against the President.

Ngunjiri, the Bahati MP, accused Uhuru of teaching Jubilee members to insult ODM leader Raila Odinga and Luos, leading to chaos in the party.

“Uhuru ndio alituonyesha mambo ya kusema 2022, sio sisi. Yeye ndio alituambia mambo ya matusi ya kutukana Raila. Ni yeye alilete, alikuwa anaita Raila kimutu giki, kimuthuri giki, kimulevi giki, kimugoroki uyu, who brought these statements?”

Ngunjiri further claimed that Kikuyus feel frustrated with Uhuru in his second tenure and asked him to resign as President if he is tired.

He also called for Uhuru to face jail time if someone should be charged in a court of law for inciting Kikuyus against Luos.
