On Thursday, July 11, Tunisia dominated Madagascar 3-0 at the Al-Salam Stadium in the quarter-final of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, securing a spot in the semi-finals against Senegal on Sunday, July 14.

The match remained scoreless at halftime, with both teams unable to capitalize on their chances due to strong defending.

However, Tunisia thought they scored first in the 46th minute, but Wahbi Khazri's goal was ruled offside by a late flag.

Fortune then smiled on Tunisia as Ferjani Sassi's shot deflected off a Madagascar defender's backside and into the goal in the 52nd minute, giving the Carthage Eagles a 1-0 lead.

Madagascar's fairytale run in their maiden AFCON appearance came to an end when Youssef Msakni scored in the 64th minute, making it 2-0 for Tunisia.

Just before the final whistle, Tunisia launched a counterattack and found themselves ahead with a two-on-one advantage, with substitute Naim Sliti scoring the final goal in the 90th minute.

Tunisia's 3-0 victory marked the first time they scored three goals in open play in the tournament's 32nd edition, showcasing their vast experience and skill.
