On October 5, 2013, a humiliating incident occurred at the Lemek Conservancy during an annual marathon sponsored by Kenya Airways. Former communications manager Kepha Bosire was stripped of his blazer and T-shirt by then-CEO Titus Naikuni in front of colleagues and guests.

According to court records, Mr. Bosire was wearing a 'Fly Emirates' T-shirt, which sparked Mr. Naikuni's reaction. The incident was witnessed by corporate clients and business partners who were in attendance at the dinner dance.

Justice Joram Abuodha has ordered Mr. Naikuni to personally compensate Mr. Bosire Sh1 million for the undignified treatment. Additionally, Kenya Airways has been ordered to pay Mr. Bosire Sh10 million in total.

Mr. Naikuni defended his actions, stating that as communications manager, Mr. Bosire was expected to promote Kenya Airways. However, the court has ruled in favor of Mr. Bosire, citing the airline's failure to treat him with dignity.

Kenya Airways has filed a notice of appeal against the decision.
