On July 11, 2019, the Employment and Labour Relation Court in Nairobi ruled that former Kenya Airways Chief Executive Officer, Titus Naikuni, must pay Sh10 million to an employee he unjustifiably terminated.

The court found that Naikuni's actions against former Corporate and Communication Manager Kepha Bosire were unjustifiable, and Bosire was awarded Sh1.8 million in lieu of notice, twelve months' salary compensation, and Sh1 million for undignified treatment.

According to the court, Naikuni was personally liable for the award granted to Bosire, and the former CEO would have looked for alternative ways to address the situation instead of directing the Director of Human Resource to fire Bosire.

Naikuni's actions were deemed unfair under the Employment Act, and the court noted that he embarrassed Bosire in front of his colleagues and other guests during an event at the Lemek Conservancy in 2013.
