KCB Named Best Bank in Kenya and East Africa Region ¶
Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) Group has been named the best lender in Kenya and the East Africa region, thanks to its extensive branch network and presence in all six countries in the region.
According to the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2019, KCB's solid footprint in the region, with the largest branch network and presence in all six countries, was a key factor in its win.
As of July 2019, KCB had a total of 258 branches regionally, making it the most awarded financial institution in Kenya, having won several other awards in 2019 alone.
"As a financial institution, we are committed to championing a supportive domestic and international operating environment for SMEs to help promote linkages and partnerships with larger firms, domestically and internationally," said KCB Group Chief Operating Officer Samuel Makome.
"The core of our business lies in driving innovation while leveraging on technology in how we do business. Moving forward, we remain committed to continue performing our role to ensure that we support the aspirations of all our customers," Makome added.
Euromoney Awards for Excellence are given in recognition of the most prestigious in the financial services industry globally.
