On July 11, 2019, detectives from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) arrested Joshua Aduma Owuor, the Nyakach MP and former Director of Legal Affairs at Nairobi County.
Mr. Aduma was taken into custody in Kisumu over his alleged involvement in the irregular payment of Sh68 million from Nairobi County coffers.
At the time of the payment, Mr. Aduma was serving as the Director of Legal Affairs at City Hall.
He is expected to face further questioning regarding the alleged irregular payment.
