Gor Mahia Releases Seven Players Ahead of 2019/20 Kenyan Premier League

Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia have confirmed the release of seven players ahead of the 2019/20 season, which kicks off in late August.

Among those leaving the club are Francis Kahata and Jacques Tuyisenge, who have since joined Simba in Tanzania and Petro Atletico in Angola, respectively.

The club has expressed gratitude for the dedication and service of the departing players, stating, 'Everyone at the club is grateful for their dedication and service during their stay at the club. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.'

Others released by the club include Ugandan striker Erisa Ssekisambu, who joined Gor Mahia in November, and young midfielder Castro Ogendo, who joined the team at the beginning of last season.

Ex-Kariobangi Sharks defender Pascal Ogweno, who moved to the club in November 2018, will also be leaving Gor Mahia.

Former Nakuru AllStars duo Cersidy Okeyo and Shaban Odhoji have also been released by the club.

Meanwhile, Gor Mahia has made seven signings, including Tobias Otieno, Curtis Wekesa, Dennis Oalo, Abdalla Shira, Elvis Ronack, David Kissu, and Dickson Ambundo.
