On Thursday morning, a man made a bold statement by chaining himself to the guard rails around City Hall in Nairobi, demanding to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He carried a placard with a message addressed to Governor Mike Sonko and other politicians, including Senator Johnson Sakaja and MP Korir.

One of the placards read: "Help me to see Mr President, Governor Sonko, Senator Johnson Sakaja MP Korir, Uhuru Tena."

His actions caught the attention of Governor Sonko, who posted about it on Facebook, stating that the man had threatened to strangle himself if he did not get a chance to see President Kenyatta.

"Whoever is near City hall should come and see this man who says he will strangle himself if he is not allowed to see President Uhuru, one word for him," Governor Sonko posted.
