On July 11, 2019, Miley Cyrus shared the sad news of her beloved pet Pig Pig's passing with her fans on Instagram.
The singer, then 26 years old, expressed her gratitude for the time she had with Pig Pig, saying 'I will miss u always thank you for so many laughs and good times girls.'
Alongside a heartwarming video of Pig Pig enjoying food, Cyrus shared several throwback photos of herself with the pet, including a sweet picture of her as a piglet.
Thankfully, her husband Liam Hemsworth came to the rescue, saving their home menagerie, including dogs, cats, and pigs, from a fire.
Speaking to Howard Stern, Cyrus praised Hemsworth's heroics, saying 'He was so incredible. He got all the animals out in his truck. He put two pigs in crates, which is so hard. He chased them with a hose! It was genius.'
She also commended Hemsworth for rescuing their cats, who had never been outside before, saying 'My cats are so stupid, one of them started running away... they've never been outside. He rescued them! He's a decent guy.'
As reported by Daily Mail, Cyrus expressed her gratitude to Hemsworth, saying 'He got a lot of action for saving the animals. We had to make sure he knew I was very, very grateful!'
