July 11, 2019, marked a significant turning point in the life of Chipukeezy, a Kenyan actor and director at the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA). In a candid interview, he revealed the hardships he faced before achieving success.

Before becoming a household name, Chipukeezy was a boda-boda rider and a transporter of traditional brew 'chang'aa' to make a living. However, his job came to an end after he suffered a serious injury from falling off the boda-boda.

He then moved to Nairobi, where he began attending auditions. Like many successful actors, he started out as a set book actor with the dream of being on Tahidi High. His hard work eventually paid off, and he is now a big deal in the entertainment industry.

As a successful actor, Chipukeezy is now giving back to the community by helping young talented entertainers grow. He credits his success to the king of Kenyan comedy, Churchill, and is now looking up to him as a role model.

Chipukeezy was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors at NACADA last year. In this position, he is using his experience to help curb drug abuse and inspire others to speak out about their past struggles.

His advice to people is to stop stigmatizing alcohol but rather talk openly about it. He believes that by educating children about the effects of abusing drugs, we can prevent them from falling into the same trap.
