On July 11, 2019, a public feud erupted between two Kenyan musicians, Ringtone and Mr. Seed, over allegations of a fake lifestyle.
Ringtone, a singer known for his outspoken views, accused Mr. Seed of posting about cars and properties he doesn't own on social media.
According to Ringtone, Mr. Seed's online persona is a far cry from reality, and he urged the gospel star to seek forgiveness from Bahati, with whom he allegedly fell out last year.
Ringtone's comments were made in a public statement, in which he said, "Samehea Mr Seed bwana, Mr. seed anateseka sana, Mr seed ako na shida nyingi sana. Magari kupost pale, si za ukweli, mavitu pale si za ukweli. Saidia Mr Seed. Na wewe Mr seed nimekutetea sana, omba Bahati msamaha urudi pale, uingie mbogi ya Bahati, Mr Seed shida zitakumaliza ukisema uko na magari na manyumba na hauna. Omba msamaha, nimesema kama chairman wa Gospel,"
