Kenyan lawyer Miguna Miguna has expressed gratitude to Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi for his efforts to bring him back to the country. Sudi had vowed to up efforts to facilitate Miguna's return, which Miguna has welcomed.

On July 10, 2019, Miguna Miguna took to his Twitter page to fully endorse Sudi's attack on the so-called Team Kieleweke, a group associated with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

While ranting against the perceived enemies of Deputy President William Ruto, Sudi brought up Miguna's name, claiming the lawyer should be allowed to re-access the country. Miguna, who has been away from Kenya for over a year, surprisingly warmed up to Sudi's proposal.

"All Kenyans including Oscar Sudi have absolute rights and duties to defend the Constitution, fight against those subverting the Constitution and protect democracy and rule of law. They don't need my permission to do so. And it doesn't matter that they supported despots yesterday," Miguna tweeted.

Miguna has been away from Kenya since 2018, when he was deported by the government. He has been trying to return to the country, but his efforts have been frustrated by the government.
