On July 10, 2019, Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia secured their spot in the Cecafa Kagame Cup quarter finals after defeating Ports FC of Djibouti 2-0 in Rwanda.
Boniface Omondi scored in the 70th minute to give Gor the lead, before a late addition from Denis Owalo secured the three points for K'Ogalo.
Gor Mahia is leading Group D with six points after winning their first group match against Maniema Union of DRC. They'll play their last group game against KMKM from Zanzibar on Sunday.
With this win, Gor Mahia is aiming to win the elusive Cecafa title for the first time since 1985.
