The Tecno Phantom 9 has been officially launched in Asia and Nigeria, marking the latest addition to the Phantom series.

First teased by Tecno India on its social media channels, the device has now been officially unveiled in the Asian sub-continent, just days after its launch in Nigeria.

Key features of the Phantom 9 include a triple lens camera, under-display fingerprint scanner, and a 32MP selfie shooter with dual selfie flash.

The device also boasts a Dot Notch display screen with a full HD+ resolution and a range of AI-based features.

Other specifications of the Tecno Phantom 9 include a 6.4-inch 19.5:9 FHD+ AMOLED display screen, MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core processor, 6GB RAM, and 128GB expandable storage.

The device runs on Android 9 Pie with HiOS 5.0 and features a 3500mAh battery, Bluetooth 5.0, microUSB, 3.5mm audio jack, and 4G VoLTE.

Despite the use of a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, which may raise some eyebrows, the Phantom 9 is expected to compete with devices like the Samsung Galaxy A50, Xiaomi Mi A3, and Huawei P30 Lite.

However, the device's battery capacity of 3500mAh may be a disappointment for some, especially considering its large 6.4-inch display screen.

The Tecno Phantom 9 is expected to arrive in Kenya soon, priced at around Kshs 22,000.
