July 10, 2019 - In a move to revolutionize customer loyalty, Air France-KLM Group and Accor Group have joined forces to create a unique dual reward scheme. This innovative partnership brings together the Flying Blue program of Air France-KLM and the Le Club loyalty program of Accor Hotels.
The dual reward scheme, dubbed Miles + Points, allows customers to earn and redeem miles and points across multiple stages of their journey. For instance, customers can earn Flying Blue Miles and Le Club AccorHotels reward points by flying with Air France or KLM and staying at an Accor Hotel.
According to Air France-KLM CEO Benjamin Smith, the new partnership with Accor Group enables them to reward customers across more stages of their journey. Smith stated, "Adding more to add and redeem Flying Blue Miles was a key driver of us developing the Miles + Points program. We aim to position Flying Blue as a leading airline loyalty programme by continuing to enrich the customer journey at every step."
Accor Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Sebastian Bazin, also expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, saying, "This enhanced loyalty program brings together two formidable players in global tourism and rewrites the rules of loyalty building. The radical transformation of Accor's lifestyle loyalty program, embodied by the future brand ALL – Accor Live Limitless – will bring to life our 'augmented hospitality' strategy."
Accor is a global hospitality brand listed on the Paris Stock Exchange, operating 4,800 hotels, resorts, and residences across more than 100 countries. Its customer loyalty program boasts over 58 million members worldwide. Air France-KLM Group, comprising Air France, KLM, and Transavia, serves 312 destinations in 116 countries, with its customer loyalty program, Flying Blue Miles, having over 15 million members.
