On July 9, 2019, a tragic incident shook a Nairobi neighborhood when a woman took the lives of her husband and two young children before ending her own life in Thome 5 estate.
According to Kasarani Sub-County police boss Peter Kimani, the woman first attacked her husband with a blunt object before strangling her two children, aged one and two years, using table cloths.
Mr. Kimani described the crime as a tragic case of domestic violence.
"After realising the mess she was in, she took a rope and hanged herself," the police boss said.
