On July 10, 2019, Tanzanian music star Alikiba spoke about the significance of unity among artistes for growth in an interview with Clouds Media.
He urged fellow artistes to unite and provide each other with the necessary support to build cohesion and a strong community.
'Unajua wasanii wengi wako feki hata sapoti wanapeana kwa sababu ya urafiki au mna ukaribu flani,' Alikiba said, highlighting the issue of artists only helping each other based on friendship or mutual closeness.
He expressed his disappointment at the enmity among bongo flava artists, stating that it is heartbreaking to see such kind of division.
Alikiba also emphasized the importance of forming groups within the music industry, which he believes brings unity and cohesion.
