Published on July 10, 2019, Victor Wanyama's Tottenham Hotspur future is uncertain after the midfielder's participation in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Wanyama, a key player for the Harambee Stars, has been given time off to return to Tottenham Hotspur and resume training with the team. The midfielder's absence has allowed the team to continue with their pre-season training at White Hart Lane, preparing for the new season.

According to reports, Wanyama is among the players who have been placed on the transfer list by Tottenham Hotspur. The club's manager, Mauricio Pochettino, is reportedly looking to strengthen the team and has been linked with several players, including Liverpool's players.

It is understood that Wanyama and English midfielder Eric Dier are among the players who will be sold to raise funds for transfers. The club does not need additional defenders in their squad, and the duo's departure could help raise funds for new signings.

Wanyama has been with Tottenham Hotspur since 2016 and has made 22 appearances for the club in the 2018/19 season. He has also played in the UEFA Champions League, featuring in the quarterfinals against Manchester City and the semifinals against Ajax.

However, Wanyama's future at the club is uncertain, and he may face stiff competition from other players, including Ndombele, Harry Winks, and Moussa Sissoko, if he decides to stay with the team.
