Published on July 10, 2019, Bandari's debut at the Cecafa Club Championships has been marked by a lacklustre draw against Rwanda's Mukura Victory Sports in their second Group B game in Huye.
The coastal club is currently third in the group with only two points, with a difficult fixture against defending champions Azam of Tanzania still to come.
Bandari took the lead in the 32nd minute through Shaban Kenga, who nodded in a beautiful finish after rising under challenge to meet Collins Agade's lofted pass.
However, Mukura seized control in the 83rd minute, before Yema Mwana scored an added-time equaliser to leave Bandari's chances hanging in the balance.
Agade was instrumental in the breakthrough, cooking the cross that picked out Kenga deep in the opponents' goal area.
The game was a seesaw between the two teams, with Bandari creating the most potent of chances. Kenga's goal, however, stirred the hosts awake as they sought a quick response.
One of the Mukura attacks caused Farouk Shikhalo to slam his head on the goal post trying to keep out a close-range header that would have surely earned Mukura Victory Sports an equaliser.
