On October 15, 2019, Eliud Kipchoge will attempt to make history by running a marathon in under two hours during the Ineos 1:59 Challenge in Vienna, Austria.

Four-time London Marathon winner Kipchoge has been backed by Tottenham star Eric Dier, who believes the Kenyan athlete has everything it takes to break the two-hour barrier.

According to Dier, Kipchoge has shown incredible determination and conviction in his pursuit of history, and he is confident that the legendary runner will leave his mark in history.

"Hi, Eliud Kipchoge. I want to wish you all the best in your quest to break the two-hour mark," Dier said in a video message shared by Kipchoge.

"I will be supporting you hoping that you can do it. Good luck," he concluded.

Published on July 9, 2019, this article highlights Kipchoge's determination to break the two-hour barrier, a feat he came close to achieving in 2017 when he clocked 2:00:25 in a specially created event at Monza, Italy.

With his fourth London Marathon win under his belt, Kipchoge is more convinced than ever that he can beat the odds and make history.
