Published on July 9, 2019, Inooro TV news anchor Muthoni Wa Mukiri has spoken out about her experience of being bullied in high school.

According to Muthoni, she was bullied because of her pointed nose, a feature she initially hated until she realized its beauty after clearing high school.

“I was bullied coz I have a pointed nose. Imagine! I hated my nose until after Highschool when I realized it’s beautiful and I came to love it. I think it’s the most beautiful feature on my face,” she wrote on Instagram.

Her post came in response to a question by singer Kambua, who expressed disappointment over reports of a high school student from Nairobi School nursing a brain injury after being punished by prefects.

Kambua emphasized that bullying should have no place in schools and asked her followers if they had been bullied in school, how it affected them, and how parents should handle such situations.
