On July 9, 2019, a disturbing incident occurred at Nairobi School, leaving a student with a brain injury. The student was attacked by prefects for allegedly not wearing a tie.

Gospel artiste and TV host Kambua has expressed her heartbreak over the incident, emphasizing that bullying has no place in schools.

'My heart broke when I heard the news about the boy from Nairobi School nursing a brain injury,' Kambua said. 'But his is just one of many horror stories we keep hearing of. Bullying should have no place in our schools.'

She also asked her followers if they had ever been bullied in school and how it affected them, sparking a conversation about the issue.

Other parents shared their own experiences with bullying, including a parent whose son was bullied for having a speech problem and another whose child was slapped by a classmate, resulting in facial palsy.

One parent even alleged that a school administrator colluded with teachers to cover up a bullying incident involving a child related to a government official.

As the conversation continues, Kambua emphasized the need for education on how to deal with bullies and the importance of having a hotline to report such cases.
