Governor Sonko Offers Name for Diamond-Tanasha's Unborn Baby

On July 9, 2019, Nairobi Governor Sonko made headlines after offering a name for the unborn baby of Tanzanian singer Diamond Platinumz and his fiancée Tanasha Donna.

According to Diamond's Instagram post, he asked his fans to suggest a name for their unborn child, stating, 'Please advise the name. You are my brothers. You are my family. You have every right to suggest the name of our child. Please suggest,'

Responding to Diamond's post, Governor Sonko jokingly suggested that the baby be named after him, saying, 'If the child is born in Nairobi, it would be fitting to name him Sonko... otherwise, congratulations to the young couple.' He also added that President Uhuru Kenyatta has a vision for the future and that Kenyans should not be stopped from seeking opportunities in Tanzania.
