On July 9, 2019, a 32-seater BD travellers Sacco bus was involved in a serious accident in Nairobi's Parklands area, near the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development.
According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle's brakes failed to work, causing the driver to crash into a barrier.
"The driver was speeding, then unfortunately the brakes failed to work, forcing him to hit the vehicle on the barrier," a witness recounted.
Four people were injured in the accident and were taken to Guru Nanak Hospital for treatment.
