Nebraska Woman Cut into 14 Pieces After Tinder Date ¶
On November 14, 2017, Sydney Loofe, 24, met Bailey Boswell on Tinder and went on a date. The following night, Loofe planned to meet Boswell again, but she never returned home.
Loofe's body was found in December 2017, stuffed into garbage bags and dumped in a field near Edgar, south-west of Omaha. An autopsy revealed that Loofe had been cut into 14 different pieces.
A forensic pathologist testified that Loofe's body showed signs of struggle, including a torn earlobe and bruising on her wrists, thighs, and head. The pathologist agreed that the injuries could have resulted from 'rough, consensual sex,' but prosecutors argue that Loofe's death was a brutal killing.
Prosecutors claim that Boswell and her boyfriend, Aubrey Trail, 52, used Tinder to lure Loofe to her death. Trail allegedly told investigators that he strangled Loofe with an extension cord, and Boswell helped him dismember her and dump her remains.
During Trail's trial, three women testified about how Trail would lure females into a sex cult via Tinder, convincing them he was a vampire who could fly and read minds. The women described how Trail made them call him 'daddy' and how they engaged in group sex with him, Boswell, and other women.
