Published on July 9, 2019, the Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) has filed a complaint against Fouzi Lekjaa, the 3rd Vice-President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), alleging that he assaulted an Ethiopian referee. The Disciplinary Committee of CAF will convene in Cairo on Tuesday to hear the complaint.

Lekjaa, a high-ranking member of CAF, is facing serious consequences if found guilty. The committee's decision could result in a fine and ban for the Moroccan official.
