The 2019 Stanbic Bank National Sevens Circuit kicked off with the Kakamega7s leg, hosted by Western Bulls and Kabras Sugar RFC in 2019 and 2020. This round replaced the Sepetuka 7s leg, previously hosted by Homeboyz in 2017 and 2018.
As the series' defending champions, Homeboyz RFC topped Pool A, alongside Resolution Impala Saracens, Menengai Oilers, and Western Bulls. Stanbic Mwamba and Kabras Sugar RFC, the hosts of the second leg, headed Pool B, where they faced Nondescripts RFC, Mean Machine, and Kisumu RFC.
Pool C comprised KCB, Kabras Sugar RFC, Kisii RFC, and University side Masinde Muliro. Top Fry Nakuru was in Pool D alongside Kenya Harlequins, Strathmore Leos, and Egerton Wasps.
Blakblad RC, who finished 13th in the previous year's sevens Circuit, were in Pool A alongside Administration Police, who received the Team Spirit award. They were joined by Citam Kisumu and Shieywe RFC.
Division One matches began at 9:00am.
