Kenya's Chipu team is set to kick off its World Rugby Under-20 Trophy championship campaign on July 9, 2019, against Uruguay at the Sao Jose dos Campos in Brazil.
Published on July 8, 2019, the team's schedule includes a clash against hosts Brazil on July 14, 2019, and a match against Japan three days later, with a place in the 2020 World Rugby U20 Championship at stake.
Chipu, which suffered financial constraints in the run-up to the championship, is participating in the competition for only the second time after 2009, when it hosted the event in Nairobi.
Meanwhile, Kenya's Simbas and Lionesses will be representing the country in the East African region, participating in the Elgon 7s Cup return legs in Kampala, Uganda.
Kenya 15s coach Paul Odera, who doubles up as the Chipu coach, will not be present when the Simbas face Uganda in the Elgon Cup return, as he will be in Brazil for the under 20s World Junior Championship.
