On June 23, a function was held in Ruiru to celebrate the life of Ann Wamuratha. The event was attended by several notable figures, including Maina Njenga, a former leader of the Mungiki group.

During the function, Maina Njenga was warmly received by the attendees, who were mostly young people from the Mount Kenya region and Nairobi.

As he took the stage to speak, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation. Maina Njenga began by expressing his gratitude to the organizers and the attendees for their support.

"Wakati mwingine naomba sherehe ipangwe mapema ili hata tuwe na wakati wa kucheza nyimbo za kumtukuza Mungu na hata zingine za kiwetu," Maina Njenga said.

He went on to request that the attendees sing a song of their choice, and one of the notable musicians present, Joseph Kamaru, was called upon to perform.

However, the event took an unexpected turn when Maina Njenga began to sing and dance, much to the surprise of the attendees, including Moses Kuria and Mike Sonko, who were present at the function.

As the event came to a close, Maina Njenga's popularity was evident, and he was hailed as a hero by the attendees.
