On June 21, Mohammad Furqan, a 20-year-old from Lucknow, India, was involved in an accident that left him in critical condition.
After exhausting their savings on medical bills, doctors at a private hospital declared him dead, prompting his family to start preparations for his funeral.
However, when his body was brought home by an ambulance, his older brother, Mohammed Irfan, noticed that Furqan could still move his limbs.
‘Devastated, we were preparing for the burial when some of us saw movement in his limbs,’ Furqan’s brother said.
The family immediately took Furqan to the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital, where doctors confirmed he was still alive and put him on ventilator support.
