On July 3, 2019, a shocking incident occurred in Chepalungu, Bomet, where a 19-year-old girl allegedly killed her 22-year-old boyfriend.
The girl, identified as Tabitha Chepkoech, reportedly walked into the Bomet Central Police Station at around 7:30 am with a bloodstained knife, confessing to the crime.
According to Bomet Central sub-county commander Geoffrey Walumbe, the police took away the knife, recorded the crime in the Occurrence Book, but are yet to take her statement due to her emotional instability.
Detectives have been dispatched to the scene to investigate the incident, determine whether the girl acted alone, and establish the motive behind the killing.
The victim's body was taken to Longisa County Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
