Nairobi, Kenya - December 23, 2021 - Mumias Sugar Company, a once-respected sugar company in Kenya and the region, is set to be revived after Sarrai Group secured a 20-year lease for its assets.

The lease, which was secured after a four-month bidding process, was confirmed by P V R Rao, the current receiver and court-appointed administrator of Mumias Sugar Company.

Rao noted that the lease is in the interest of all stakeholders and in conformity with the recent Court ruling dated November 19, 2021.
