Chelsea's new manager Frank Lampard has made a bold statement about the future of 18-year-old winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, assuring him of a starting place in the team.
Speaking to Chelsea's official website, Lampard, who was unveiled as the club's new manager on July 4, 2019, revealed that he will try to convince Hudson-Odoi to remain at Stamford Bridge.
Despite interest from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, who have tabled multiple offers to sign the youngster from Chelsea, Lampard is keen to keep Hudson-Odoi at the club.
"I have seen Callum come through and he is a fantastic talent," Lampard said.
"We all know that and I will speak to him and I want him to stay. I know the club want him to stay and for me, he is going to be central for us on the pitch," he continued.
