On July 7, 2019, Ander Herrera, a 29-year-old midfielder, signed a five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain after leaving Manchester United on a free transfer.
According to Herrera, when a club with a big project, located in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, comes to you, it's not very difficult to make a decision.
"When you leave a big club like Manchester United, the only places you can go are those like PSG: the biggest French club, which has some of the best players in the world," he said.
Despite being part of the United squad that knocked PSG out of the Champions League in the round of 16 last season, Herrera expressed his excitement about joining PSG, citing the club's potential and top-class players.
"We have incredible players! I will also be there to help them improve, and make them better players," he said.
