On July 8, 2019, Kibra MP Ken Okoth made a triumphant return to Kenya after undergoing colon cancer treatment in France.

Okoth, who has been undergoing treatment, was the chief guest at the annual Kibra Music festival held at Moi Girls Kibra.

During the event, Okoth revealed that Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi has been helping him run some errands for his constituency, including bringing cheques for his constituents.

Okoth described Wanyonyi as a mentor and a brother who has been of great help to him.

“Honourable Tim came to visit me at the hospital with his family. When he came, I was very unwell but I asked him on my behalf to bring cheques for my constituents in Kibra,” Said Okoth.
