On July 6, 2019, Ethic Entertainment took to social media to express their outrage after a violent altercation with security guards and festival organizers at the Koroga Festival left four of their members hospitalized.

The incident occurred during the Saturday edition of the festival, where Ethic Entertainment was scheduled to perform as headliners. However, the group claims that they were subjected to hostile treatment by the festival organizers and security guards from the K9 security company.

According to Ethic Entertainment, their DJ, hypeman, Zilla, and driver were brutally injured by the security guards and festival organizers, and are currently receiving medical attention.

The group has vowed to seek legal redress and is calling on their fans to support their cause, using the hashtags #Justiceforethic and #RespectKenyanartists.

Several artists have come out in support of Ethic Entertainment, citing bias in the Kenyan music industry.
