On July 1, David Ferrand stepped down as CEO of FSD Kenya, marking the beginning of a new era for the organization. Tamara Cook has taken over as the new CEO, bringing with her a wealth of experience in international affairs.
With a career spanning over 40 countries, Cook has worked in various capacities, including managing global portfolios of grants and loans. Her expertise in digital financial services has been invaluable in her previous roles.
Before joining FSD Kenya in 2014 as Head of Digital Innovations, Cook worked at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for seven years. She also spent ten years with the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP).
Financial Sector Deepening (FSD) Kenya is an independent organization dedicated to improving the lives of low-income households by providing access to financial solutions. Founded in 2005 with the support of the UK's Department for International Development, FSD Kenya has been working tirelessly to achieve its mission.
