On July 6, 2019, Morocco's Atlas Lions suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Benin in the round of 16 stage of the Africa Cup of Nations.

As the team's heartbreaking loss became apparent, a distraught photojournalist was captured in tears, clutching her expensive camera and lens.

While journalists are expected to remain neutral and objective, it's understandable that this journalist's patriotism and passion for the game got the better of her.

The Atlas Lions were considered favourites at the start of the tournament but were surprisingly bundled out of the championship after a dramatic 4-1 loss to Benin, following a 1-1 draw in over 120 minutes of play.

South Africa, Senegal, and Nigeria have also secured their spots in the quarter-finals.
