On Sunday, July 7, 2019, Ruaraka Sports Club's all-rounder, Vaibhav Patil, made a significant impact in the Nairobi Invitational T20 tournament as they defeated Sir Ali Muslim Club by five wickets.
Chasing a total of 105, Ruaraka's batsmen were well on their way to victory, with Akash Tambe scoring 41 runs off 52 balls and Vaibhav contributing 30 runs off 40 balls.
For Sir Ali, Sandip Adole top-scored with 36 runs off 30 balls, but their batsmen struggled to cope with Ruaraka's stiff bowling and tight fielding. Vaibhav was the main destroyer for Ruaraka, taking three wickets for 14 runs.
Elsewhere at Jamhuri Secondary School grounds, Swamibapa beat Cutchi Leva by 10 runs in another match of the tournament.
