Ken Okoth, the Member of Parliament for Kibra, has returned to Kenya after several months abroad seeking treatment for colorectal cancer.
On Sunday, Okoth made his first public appearance since his return at the Annual Kibra Music Festival, where he was joined by Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja.
Sakaja shared photos of himself and Okoth on Facebook, captioning them: 'Joined my brother Ken Okoth MP Kibra and the people of Kibra for an exciting Music Festival earlier today. Welcome back home bro and thanks for the amazing job you and your team have been doing.'
Okoth had revealed his cancer diagnosis in February 2019, stating that the condition was discovered at an advanced stage and could only be managed.
He had been undergoing treatment in Paris, where he had visited Kenya's ambassador to France, Prof Judy Wakhungu, and received visits from several Kenyan leaders, including Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris and Education PS Dr Belio Kipsang.
