On a recent visit to Tanzania, President Uhuru Kenyatta expressed his gratitude to the Tanzanian people for their warmth and hospitality, stating that he was 'deeply touched' by their kindness.
During his two-day private visit, President Kenyatta made a lighthearted remark about sending his son to Tanzania in search of a bride, saying 'Ata kijana wangu nitamwambia akuje atembe tembe huku, labda anaweza bahatika hata yeye.'
President Kenyatta's visit was at the invitation of President John Pombe Magufuli, who also gifted him with four peacocks as a symbol of their newfound friendship.
On a more somber note, President Kenyatta took time to visit his father's grave and his ailing mother Suzana Magufuli at her home in Chato, a gesture that touched President Magufuli's heart.
