On July 6, 2019, police confirmed the death of Florence Wanjiru, a 28-year-old woman who was thrown out of a moving bus belonging to Kileton Sacco.

According to authorities, Wanjiru was heading home from her workplace at Yongli casino and restaurant in Hurlingham, Nairobi, when she was allegedly beaten and thrown out of the vehicle by the conductor.

A CCTV footage showed Wanjiru being ushered into the bus by the conductor, who is now on the run.

Wanjiru's parents received a call from a Good Samaritan informing them that their daughter had been involved in an accident and was seriously injured.

She was taken to Kenyatta National Hospital, where she remained until her death.

Wanjiru's mother alleged that the conductor hit her daughter on the head using a metal rod before throwing her out of the moving bus.

Police have launched a manhunt for the conductor and have arrested the driver of the bus, which plies the Kileleshwa-Lavington route.

Authorities believe that the Kileton Sacco bus crew was responsible for Wanjiru's death and are confident that the CCTV footage will aid in the investigations.
