Legendary Kenyan footballer Joe Kadenge has left a lasting legacy in the world of football. Born in Kenya, Kadenge was a trailblazer in the sport, known for his exceptional skills on the field.

On July 7, 2019, Kadenge passed away at the Meridian hospital in Nairobi, leaving behind a family and a nation in mourning. His son, Oscar, confirmed the news, stating that Kadenge had been suffering from a long illness, including a stroke in February.

Regarded by many as the finest footballer ever produced by Kenya, Kadenge's impressive career spanned multiple clubs and teams. He played for Maragoli United, scoring the fastest ever goal in the History of the Kenyan Premier League, and also played for Abaluhya United, where he won the Kenyan Premier League in 1966 with the current AFC Leopards.

Joe Kadenge's impact extended beyond his playing career, as he also managed the Kenya National Football team in 2002. His legacy continues to inspire generations of footballers in Kenya and beyond.

At the time of his passing, Kadenge's body was transferred to Lee Funeral Home, where he was remembered by friends, family, and fans alike. He was 84 years old.
