December 3, 2021, marked a day when Nelson Havi, the Law Society of Kenya president and Westlands parliamentary seat aspirant, took to Twitter to express his preference on how he should be addressed.

Mr Havi, who had recently joined the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) from the Amani National Congress party, made a plea to Kenyans to stop calling him 'Mheshimiwa' or 'Honourable Nelson Havi'.

Instead, he suggested that 'Nelson Havi ni bora' (Nelson Havi is good) would suffice.

Mr Havi's request came as he prepares to contest for the Westlands parliamentary seat in the 2022 General Election, a seat currently held by Tim Wanyonyi.
