Joao Gilberto was born on June 10, 1931, in Juazeiro, Bahia, Brazil. He began his music career in the 1950s and quickly gained recognition for his unique style, which blended traditional Brazilian music with jazz and samba.
Gilberto's most famous song, 'The Girl from Ipanema,' was released in 1964 and became a huge success worldwide. He also collaborated with other famous musicians, including Antonio Carlos Jobim and Astrud Gilberto.
