On Saturday, a group of Everton players, including Ademola Lookman, Gabby George, Danniel Turner, and Simone Magill, visited the Barclays Sports Club in Ruaraka, Nairobi, where they spent time with over 50 young children.

The quartet, who are in the country to play a friendly match against Kariobangi Sharks on Sunday at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, interacted with the children who were drawn from two schools in Mathare, supported by the UK government through the 'Let our Girls Succeed' programme.

Among those who got to meet the Everton players was nine-year-old Betty Njeri, who expressed her joy and delight at having interacted with the team and their development coaches.

'I am very happy to be here today. I like playing football, and I feel privileged to interact with some players who we only see on television,' she said.

The visit was part of the Everton players' preparations for their highly billed friendly match against Kariobangi Sharks on Sunday, which marks their second visit to East Africa. The team had previously visited Tanzania in July 2017 to face Gor Mahia FC.
