On Thursday, 11 November 2021, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Nelson Havi were involved in a heated social media exchange.
According to reports, the exchange began when Babu Owino took to his Facebook account to support the actions of the goons who pelted stones and destroyed cars in Deputy President William Ruto's convoy during his campaign tour in Kisumu.
LSK President Nelson Havi, who is also an aspiring Westlands MP, took to his Twitter moments later to call out Babu Owino, describing him as a shame to the University of Nairobi alumni.
"Babu Owino makes us who went to school and in particular University of Nairobi, School of Law, Parklands Campus ashamed to imagine that he also went there. An educated imbecile is a danger to the Society and the Nation," Havi wrote.
However, Babu Owino fired back at Havi, claiming that he has always loved to compare their academic credentials, although, in reality, the difference in their intellectual levels is as clear as the light of day.
"You always want to compare yourself with me academically but I will confidently tell you that in the intellectual parlance you are a village salad to me. I scored Second Class Upper Division in LLB Law and a First Class honors in Actuarial Science," Babu told Havi.
He added, "Your lips are heavier than your brains," in a scathing comeback against the aspiring politician.
