On July 5, 2019, rapper Khaligraph Jones, alias Papa Jones, stormed the offices of Radio Africa, a media house that owns several popular radio stations in Kenya, including Classic FM.
According to a video he shared on his Instagram page, Khaligraph Jones was seen walking into an empty newsroom, which he believed belonged to Mpasho, a popular online gossip platform.
“Majamaa wa mpasho, imebidi wamekimbia juu wamesikia OG anakuja hapa, kwendeni uko, matako,”
Classic FM presenter Maina Kageni replied to Khaligraph Jones' post, calling him a clout chaser who was throwing his rants at the wrong time and on the wrong floor.
“Hahahaaaa!!! umechocha sana @khaligraph_jones …but you’re on the wrong floor my brother. Kuwa tu OG, nenda 3rd floor, ask for them before 9.00PM. Otherwise leave me alone, I am waiting for results from Lagos!!! ” reads Maina’s reply.
Khaligraph Jones claimed that he was denied access to the 3rd floor newsroom and the elevator was closed, which led to his decision to storm the empty newsroom.
However, our checks revealed that Khaligraph Jones might have stormed Mpasho due to a recent song he released, titled 'Leave me Alone', in which he disparaged Mpasho for slurring him since his art went commercial.
