Kenyan Member of Parliament Ken Okoth, who is battling stage four Colorectal cancer, has received an outpouring of support from his constituents and fellow Kenyans online.
Okoth, who is currently receiving treatment abroad, made a courtesy call on Kenya's Ambassador to France, Judi Wakhungu, on Thursday.
Wakhungu shared photos of the meeting on social media, writing: 'Courtesy call from Hon. Ken Okoth (Kibra). He updated us on many issues including his impressive education projects & his plans for increasing them to reach many students. He is also keen to use Sports Diplomacy to expand his students’ horizons.'
Okoth's appearance has changed significantly since he began chemotherapy, with the MP sharing photos of his skin and immunity system being affected by the treatment.
Kenya's Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has pledged to fly some of his constituents to visit Okoth in France, saying: 'I shall be willing to sponsor and lead a delegation of pastors, imams and a few Kibra constituents to visit him in France and pray for our beloved Mp. Get Well Soon Bro. Just continue believing in God.'
